Then again it pretty much has to be, given its not-even-nine-feet length, officially landing it the title of "smallest car in America." In fact the only thing smaller I've ever driven was a Big Wheel, which, come to think of it, was pretty environmentally sound too.<br />The <a class="anchorlink" href="http://www.2008smartfortwo.net/">2008 Smart Fortwo</a> does 33/40 City/Highway, a little low for a mitey-mite I thought. The stripped-down (and I do mean stripped, forget about a radio or A/C) model comes in below $12,000, so the price is fairly intelligent. However, there's really nothing in the way of a trunk, so I don't think this is a car for the suburban set -- more like an errand-runner for big city folk, who'll adore its squeeze-in-ability.<br />So you tell me how smart the thing is.
